BeBeE is one of the nationwide ombudsman offices for child and youth welfare. Consultation is available when questions or specific problems arise in contact with public authorities (e.g., the youth welfare office) or independent child and youth welfare organizations.

A request can be submitted to the ombudsman's office in the state of Bremen

  • For child welfare services: if the Bremen or Bremerhaven youth welfare office is responsible. If this is not the case, the contact persons will gladly refer you to the appropriate ombudsman's office.
  • For daycare centers: if your child's daycare center is located in Bremen or Bremerhaven.

The work of the advice center is based on the German Social Code, Book VIII. BeBee primarily provides advice on child and youth welfare services (including integration assistance according to § 35a SGB VIII) and related topics, as well as on childcare facilities. The ombudsman's office can also be contacted with ombudsman-related questions in the area of ​​open-access children's and youth work.

The ombudsman's office for child and youth welfare in the state of Bremen has offices and consultation rooms at two locations. Personal consultations usually take place there. The consultation is free of charge, voluntary, confidential, and can also be anonymous upon request – in person, by telephone, and online.

Professionals in child and youth services or other institutions can also take advantage of our consultation services. We provide information on your questions regarding child and youth welfare services. In addition, we regularly offer training courses for professionals on various topics.
