startsocial – Consulting for social initiatives

startsocial promotes voluntary engagement through knowledge transfer. In a nationwide competition, startsocial awards consulting scholarships annually to 100 social organizations, projects, and ideas. The scholarship recipients work for four months with experts from business, the public sector, and the non-profit sector to further develop their initiatives. They receive comprehensive reports, personal consultations, and a wide network of contacts. The experts, in turn, experience a competence-based form of social participation and purpose-building through their voluntary and unpaid commitment of experience and expertise to a social project. The top scholarship recipients can win cash prizes totaling €35,000 in the final round. The competition is under the patronage of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
