From curriculum to practice: Shaping educational processes in everyday kindergarten life

The new educational concepts of the state of Bremen clearly emphasize that educational processes in early childhood should be individualized, relevant to children's lives, and participatory. They encourage professionals to seize upon learning opportunities from children's everyday experiences and link them specifically to subject-specific learning objectives. By referring to the subject-specific didactic principles of the Bremen curriculum—action-oriented learning, fostering children's self-directed activity, learning in meaningful contexts, observation, interpretation, documentation, and reflection on learning development processes and competence acquisition—you can examine your pedagogical practice and develop confidence in your actions.
