From June 8th to 12th, 2026, the traveling exhibition ZERO! will be on display at the Bremen Health Department. This free exhibition on fetal alcohol syndrome (FASD) provides experiential information about pregnancy, alcohol, and FASD – the damage caused solely by maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy.

The event is being planned by the State Coordination Office of the Federal Foundation for Early Childhood Intervention at the Senator for Labor, Social Affairs, Youth and Integration, as well as by the Bremen Health Department and faspektiven eV. "The topic of FASD and raising awareness about it is of great importance, as the damage caused by alcohol consumption during pregnancy is irreversible and, at the same time, completely preventable," says Dorothee Jürgens from the State Coordination Office of the Federal Foundation for Early Childhood Intervention (Senator for Labor, Social Affairs, Youth and Integration). The issue is not limited to pregnant women. Therefore, the exhibition aims to specifically reach school classes, trainees, students, professionals, and other interested parties as a preventative measure.

Opening hours and registration for school classes and groups:

  • School classes: Mon – Thurs 9 am to 3 pm + Fri 9 am to 12 pm.
School classes from the 7th grade onwards, as well as groups from educational and training institutions, must register in advance: ZERO – Exhibition at the Bremen Health Department (maximum 30 people)
