Recognized independent provider of youth services in Bremen
The ScolaNova gGmbH team consists of experts from business, public administration, and child development. Founded in 2009, the gGmbH's purpose is to expand and implement "activities for the benefit of the child.".
ScolaNova was born out of the need to make children's development in today's society more holistic and complete through new forms of learning. A possible way to achieve this seemed to be a holistic learning model that unites daycare and school, avoids educational gaps, and designs learning biographies from the very beginning.
In 2010, we began establishing the German-Italian daycare center Girotondo in Bremen-Schwachhausen. Following its founding, we continuously expanded our services for parents, children, and staff, and ten years later were able to open two more daycare centers in Blumenthal (Kita Bunte Weser) and Oberneuland (Kita Metas Kinnerhus).
The very positive development so far, with low staff turnover, a stable budget and excellent feedback from parents and schools, motivated us to further develop our facilities and constantly make new plans.
We work in a Reggio-inspired style.
This means we approach our environment and society with optimism and openness. A key aspect of the Reggio Emilia approach is that the child is seen as a competent researcher who inherently possesses the drive to learn and explore and needs to be guided, not directed, throughout the learning process. For example, we continuously strive for certification of our facilities by the "Haus der kleinen Forscher" (House of Little Scientists) program.
Embrace diversity!
We believe that a diverse team best reflects society and contributes to a vibrant and enriching work environment. That's why we are signatories of the "Diversity Charter".
A good working environment is absolutely essential
To maintain and improve quality, we place great emphasis on training and professional development. Satisfied employees enjoy their work and perform well, which is why it is important to us to foster and support a positive work environment. Supervision is an integral part of our employees' experience. Regular planning and team-building days support team cohesion. Furthermore, we place great value on the health of our employees and on being family-friendly.
In the future
Future generations and their educational experts are called upon to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. We focus on topics such as ecological and economic knowledge, sharing and owning, personal participation, and democratic development to enable children to participate from an early age. "Why else should we learn and know without later being part of the whole?"
Being curious and researching, experiencing and describing, speaking and having one's own voice must happen today so that diversity can be lived for everyone today and tomorrow.
This must apply to all educational levels; "educational standards" should be desired and "personal learning culture" should be allowed.
Children also need protection, time, and the right not to have to know. These aspects are just as important as in music. Even the pause needs a note. Authentic educational paths require space for this. People who want more. Parents who are courageous and educators who are modern. Early childhood education and school belong under one roof. This is what we, the shareholders of ScolaNova, the daycare center directors, and staff at our facilities Girotondo, Bunte Weser, and Metas Kinnerhus, stand for.
Our dream destination
To establish, build, and operate a learning center for everyone. We want a holistic learning model in one location that unites daycare and school, avoids educational gaps, and designs and supports learning biographies from the very beginning.
