Training for women's representatives in workshops and residential facilities

As a women's representative in a workshop or residential facility, you support other women in their daily lives and represent their interests. This training will empower you to perform your duties competently, confidently, and with self-assurance.

If you work as a women's representative in a workshop for people with disabilities (WfbM) or in a residential facility, a clear and confident demeanor is particularly important. Our training will help you reflect on your role, expand your options for action, and develop ways to effectively support women in your facility.

If you are new to your role as women's representative, we recommend the complete training course. It includes a two-day introductory session, a five-day intensive week, and a two-day concluding session. If you have been working in this role for some time, you can also book the intensive week separately to refresh your knowledge and skills.

Requirements for participation

You can participate in the training course…

  • if you are already working as a women's representative in workshops and residential facilities for disabled people or in other areas of employment and vocational promotion, or if you are taking on this position for the first time.

You have the option of booking the week-long course of this professional development program as educational leave. The program is recognized under the Bremen Educational Leave Act of December 18, 1974 (Bremen Law Gazette, p. 348 – as amended). To take educational leave in Bremen, you can proceed as follows:

  1. You apply to your employer for educational leave for the relevant part of this training.
  2. On our registration form, please indicate that you are booking this training course as educational leave and have applied for it with your employer. You will then receive a registration confirmation from us specifying the educational leave to submit to your employer.
  3. Your employer will approve your educational leave.
  4. After the training event, you will receive a certificate of participation, which you can present to your employer as proof.
