Trauma pedagogy in everyday kindergarten and school life

Fundamental knowledge of trauma theory demonstrates how traumatic experiences shape children's thinking, feelings, and behavior. Participants learn to understand behaviors as protective or survival strategies, rather than judging them as "intentional" or "provocative." A key element is developing a positive pedagogical attitude: How can I, as a caregiver, project security, set relationship-oriented boundaries, and simultaneously support realistic, small steps in development? The event is rounded out with practical trauma-informed pedagogical methods for co-regulation, stabilization, and resource orientation.
Target group: Staff in daycare centers, schools, and outpatient youth services.
