AinoAid™ provides professionals in social work, healthcare, counseling, law enforcement, and other fields with specialized information and materials. These resources support them in recognizing domestic violence, appropriately addressing victims, and referring them to suitable support services. The platform was developed with the involvement of professionals and victims and is continuously being improved through international projects.

Chatbot AinoAid™ as a first point of contact and initial support for victims of domestic violence: To improve initial support and simplify access to the support system for victims of domestic violence, the Finnish start-up We Encourage Oy Ltd. developed AinoAid™ as part of the IMPROVE project. AinoAid™ comprises an informational website with an integrated AI-powered chatbot.

Users can either navigate through the website's content or communicate with the chatbot and decide on next steps at a time that suits them best. Originally developed solely for victims of domestic violence to facilitate their access to support and encourage them to seek help, it became clear during development that family members and professionals can also greatly benefit from the information provided by AinoAid™.

AinoAid™ provides information on various forms and dynamics of domestic violence, its health and social consequences, the impact on children, and the rights of victims, as well as resources for personal (legal) advice (hotline, victim support services, etc.), legally admissible documentation, and protection (police, women's shelters). To encourage victims to seek help, AinoAid™ answers key questions such as: How can professionals help me? What if I don't receive the support I need? How do I begin looking for help myself?

The service was developed and evaluated as part of the EU-funded project IMPROVE (www.improve-horizon.eu), is free of charge and accessible without registration or download requirements.
